Redakce časopisu Anesteziologie a intenzivní medicína oslovila čtrnáct přednostů/přednostek fakultních pracovišť oboru anesteziologie a intenzivní medicína s žádostí o vyjádření, jakou mají vizi budoucnosti svého oboru. Dotazy byly formulovány ve třech oblastech: 1. definovat pro obor klíčové strategické oblasti v budoucích 5-10 letech, 2. určit nejbližší priority a cíle, 3. navrhnout tři témata, k nimž by měl zaujmout výbor ČSARIM stanovisko.
Odpovědělo devět vedoucích pracovníků se značnou variabilitou názorů. Za nejčastěji uváděné hlavní priority oboru byly označeny - bezpečnost péče, angažovanost oboru v perioperační medicíně, mezioborová spolupráce, etické otázky a vzdělávání v oboru.

The future, the priorities and strategic objectives of the specialty of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine - results of a questionnaire survey among lead clinicians of academic departments in the Czech Republic

The editorial board of the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine Journal asked fourteen lead clinicians of academic departments of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine in the Czech Republic about their future vision of the specialty. The questionnaire was aimed at these three realms: 1. Defining the key strategic elements for the specialty in the next 5-10 years. 2. Defining immediate aims and priorities and 3. Suggesting three topics for the CSARIM Board to take a stand on. Nine of the fourteen lead clinicians replied and there was considerable variability of opinions. Among the most commonly mentioned priorities were safety of clinical care, involvement in perioperative medicine, multidisciplinary co-operation, ethical questions and postgraduate education in the specialty.
